Aphrodite Hills Golf is the championship course also known as PGA National Cyprus. Cabell Robinson’s 18-hole design opened in 2002 within the Aphrodite Hills resort near Paphos.

Get to know the course
Across the ravine
Two plateaux and a ravine shape the routing, with olive and carob trees around the fairways and Mediterranean views from higher ground. The seventh hole’s crossing is a distinctive part of the round.
Practice and academy
The practice facilities include a driving range and short-game area. The separate PGA National Academy Course is a six-hole par-3 layout; it is not another 18-hole championship course.

Aphrodite Hills, PGA National – Tour-Level Golf with a View
The last venue to host back-to-back DP World Tour events. Need I say more? Well, yes, actually.
From arrival, everything screams premium: a warm welcome, your name on the buggy, and water and tees thoughtfully provided. Buggies are mandatory, less because of the hills and more because of the epic distances between greens and tees.
The standout? The spectacular buggy zig-zag to the 7th, rewarded with sea views before you reach a tee box overlooking a cliff-edge carry to a par-3 green. Beautiful to behold, slightly less relaxing when it’s your turn to hit!
As you’d expect from a tournament venue, good shots are rewarded and wayward ones punished. The greens have plenty of character, with breaks that can make even confident putters question themselves.
Verdict: A chance to experience golf at the level the pros play. Spectacular scenery, immaculate presentation and a stern but enjoyable test. An absolute must on any trip to Cyprus — just don’t expect the pros’ scores!
